Comparative Analysis and Research Results. Experts Assess the Level of Medical Care in 14 Penitentiary Institutions of Belarus

As we reported earlier, our organization, in partnership with other human rights organizations and experts, conducted a comparative analysis of healthcare provision for people held in penitentiary institutions in Belarus.

As a result of this work, we have prepared two final documents: a research report in Russian and a Policy Brief in English. As part of our efforts to keep the human rights situation in Belarus, including the rights of people in detention, in the public spotlight, we have shared these documents with the relevant UN Special Rapporteurs, international organizations, and the Department for the Execution of Sentences of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

Visitors to our website can access the report, Healthcare in Penitentiary Institutions of the Republic of Belarus: A Comparative Analysis (in Russian) and the Policy Brief (in English) here.
